Jetwing Kanduruketha is located in the charming and peaceful village setting of Wellawaya which is about 4 1/2 – 5 hours away from Colombo. Spread over 60 acres of land consisting of paddy fields, fresh water streams and forests, this is an eco friendly retreat located about 218 km east of the capital of Colombo. The town area of Wellawaya is located about 3 1/2 km away from the retreat while the main bus station is about 2 1/2 km away. Buses run on a regular basis from the South, East and Central parts of the island while airport taxis can be arranged through the high level road and then through Avissawella, Ratnapura and finally Wellawaya. The town is located at a major transportation junction which takes travellers to the South and East.

A number of 25 private chalets are spread across the property while each dwelling unit boasts of indoor and outdoor living spaces. Made out of bamboo and wood so that guests can enjoy natural ventilation, these chalets are adorned with a number of luxurious features.
